Lane Cove Public School P&C is a volunteer collective of parents, grandparents and neighbours dedicated to enriching student life—from running the canteen and uniform shop to shaping curriculum and hosting community events. When BlueFit reached out with the Get Fit Give Back campaign, Liz appreciated how straightforward it was to join. “They provided all the materials that we could just send out to our supporters and made it so easy for people to choose Lane Cove Public,” she explains, noting how well the idea of tying fitness activity to community funding resonated with their school’s focus on health and wellbeing.
Thanks to member nominations, the campaign’s donations have funded new sporting uniforms—meaning children can participate in school sports without families shouldering extra costs. “Being able to have this donation to provide these sporting uniforms means that we don’t have to ask parents to go back into their own pockets,” Liz says. She “would definitely recommend other organisations get involved,” calling Get Fit Give Back a wonderful way to unite community spirit and secure vital funding for school projects.
